Iris Yellum is a PhD candidate working on the history of legume improvement in India. Her research interests are in Indian agrarian heritage, the history of botanical collection from India, and the governance of biodiversity. She was a visiting scholar at the Science and Justice Research Center, University of California, Santa Cruz for fall 2019 and winter 2020. Her research has been funded by the American Institute of Indian Studies, Harvard University GSAS Graduate Society, and Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute at Harvard University. She is a Travel Fellow at Linda Hall Library for 2020-2021.
