The Weatherhead Research Cluster on Global History would like to invite all faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates in South Asian Studies to attend “The Nature of Commodity Frontiers” on April 24-26. The conference, jointly hosted by the Commodity Frontiers Initiative, focuses on the transformation of the global countryside. By bringing together scholars from several continents, it explores the intersections between ecology, race, gender, Indigeneity, and non-human animals in the making of commodity frontiers under capitalism.
